Hi reader
Were you disappointed with a lack of 5 Things recently? Wholehearted apology from me. School half term and a busy period of client work have kept me away.
But it’s back! And sending this out on a Tuesday, just for lols. Did you know the open rate is averaging well over 50%? I am very grateful for you taking the time to open and read.
I’d love to get some feedback on the types of topics you’re interested in seeing. Please do reply to this email with any thoughts or suggestions. As you can tell, I am curating content from a variety of sources and there’s SO much out there, I’m sure I can find something to suit your interests.
Also, are we connected on LinkedIn? If not, let’s get connected. My profile can be found by clicking here.
Your selection of 5 things for this week:
![]() | The ‘insight multiplier’ effectThe wait what who?! The return on investment for research & insight is notoriously hard to prove. Sometimes you’re influencing a decision to do something (or not do something), often it’s intangible. So this is my - theoretical - take on how customer insight can massively impact your bottom line. |
![]() | 54% of founders experience burnoutA shocking statistic and also a really important one, collected via Sifted’s recent survey. In fact, only 6% of founders said they had no mental health issues in the last 12 months. |
![]() | Survey question writing tipsSome basic yet fundamental ways to ensure your survey questions are going to be good and help you collect useful data. Remember the acronym EASE (and remember what it stands for too!). Read my post for more info. |
![]() | Startup school: Google on gen AII can’t vouch for this course - and the extent to which they will plug Gemini (they’re plugging it a lot!) - but Google’s startup school course on gen AI looks interesting. I’ve signed up and can let you know how I get on. |
![]() | Bringing certainty to the chaos (webinar recording)Many thanks to those of you who signed up and attended the webinar a couple of weeks ago. It went down really well. If you’d like to take a look (recommend switching to 1.5 speed), here you go. |
Thanks for reading ;-)
