Hi reader
Hope you are having a great week so far. Over in the UK, we’ve seen some warmer weather (it’s been sorely missed!) as we move more fully into Spring. Love it!
The usual eclectic mix of things for you this week - I do keep a close eye on how many of you click on which links to help me figure out which articles are most interesting. If you would like to see particular topics appearing then please drop me a quick email and let me know.
Your selection of things for this week:
![]() | We need to talk about masculinityA big topic and one that’s being brought to the fore by things like Mark Zuckerberg’s reference to ‘masculine energy’ and the much talked about Netflix show Adolescence (click here for trailer). Adding to the conversation with some interesting data from Ipsos. Their research shows how the portrayal of positive and progressive masculinity can improve ad effectiveness. |
![]() | Using research to drive PRSeeing lots of examples of startups getting some great PR recently - showing just how effective certain media channels can be which might otherwise be seen as more ‘traditional’. It’s not all about the clicks! And, research & data can be a really helpful resource for creating PR’able stories. Find out how by reading my post. |
![]() | Revealed! How the UK tech secretary uses AIAn FOI request on Peter Kyle’s ChatGPT prompts has been published on the New Scientist website. A sensational account of a politician’s inappropriate use of tech? Well, you’ll just have to click on the link to find out :-) |
![]() | Does life always have to be about convenience?A whinge, or something vaguely useful to say? You decide. I recently put some thoughts out about how convenience has taken over our lives. Is it time to push back on convenience? |
![]() | Is your sales effort lacking ‘buyer-isms’?A great email here from Katelyn Bourgoin on how you can create more compelling copy on your website and sales resources by using the kind of language your customers might use about your products and services. It’s a clever and effective way to review & improve your communication. |
Thanks for reading!
