5 Things

From Gideon Barker, founder of Customer IQ

Hi there

I hope you've had a good week, whatever you've been up to. Here are some of the more interesting things I've come across recently. Hope you enjoy (tell me if you don't!).

The 'Blemishing Effect'

Does your product of service have enough of a blemish to accentuate the positives? Get into buyer psychology with Katelyn Bourgoin.

How to find and keep a top team

I find Bristol's Smart Cookies events are often interesting and insightful. December's offer looks great - all about recruiting and retaining talent.

Meta's robot that can 'feel'

Meta have developed a tool to allow robots the ability to detect the objects they come into contact with. This is all part of the march towards AMI (advanced machine intelligence).Yikes.

3 antidotes to bad ideas

Dave Harland has a wonderful way with words and reading his newsletters is worth it simply to enjoy the way he tells a story. Having something very useful to say (as he always does) is an added bonus.

Are 2024 elections now over?

Apparently, 49% of the world's population has, or will, vote in national elections this year. Only a few to go (Chad, Iceland and others). So does this mean 2025 will bring more stability? Let's hope so!
